Jonathan Manuel

Jonathan Manuel (aka Johnny) was born and raised in San Diego, California, and relocated to Sacramento in 2008, where he continued his education and built his career in healthcare. He graduated from Unitek College of Sacramento in 2015 and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento in 2018.

Johnny’s passion for healthcare began at a young age. At just five years old, he helped his mother care for his older brother, who was born with a rare condition that required constant supervision. His brother underwent multiple surgeries and spent much of his childhood at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego. Being closely involved in his care inspired Johnny to dedicate his life to helping others.

With over 10 years of experience working in urgent care settings, Johnny is guided by the belief that “patients always come first.” He is highly patient-oriented and takes great pride in creating a comfortable, welcoming, and friendly environment for both patients and their families.

Johnny was part of the original team of medical assistants hired by Rainbow Kids Urgent Care. His commitment to always deliver quality, compassionate care earned him two RKUC staff recognition awards. His dedication and strong work ethic is what earned him his current position as a Lead Medical Assistant at Rainbow Kids Urgent Care.

Outside of his role at Rainbow Kids Urgent Care, Johnny volunteers with various projects throughout Sacramento County. In his free time, he enjoys playing chess, watching his favorite football team—the Los Angeles Chargers—and, most importantly, spending quality time with his family.
